Edmondsons Fresh Fish
We are a family business located in Morecambe and we have been suppling quality fresh fish and Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps to our customers and local businesses for over 35 years.
We trawl for our own shrimps out in Morecambe Bay nearly every day on our own boat. The shrimps then get cooked onboard before taking them back to the shop on Yorkshire Street where staff then pick them all one by one before cooking again in creamy butter, salt and 'secret' spices. Finally, they are then put into pots to create the Famous Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps. He also catches flat fish, such as Plaice and Flounder on the boat too.
We have featured on ITV's series 'Ade in Britain' with Adrian Edmondson. Who came to visit us, just to try our famous Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps and even got involved in the trawling process himself out on the boat with Ray Edmondson. He even had a go at the process of potting shrimps himself on the Promenade next to the Eric Morecambe statue.
Additionally we have featured in Rick Steins 'seafood lovers' guide' series and book, as Rick Stein visited us to taste our delicious Shrimps.
